Psychotherapy for
Women’s Mental Health
and Wellness at Work
with Lauren Berke, MA, MHC-LP
You’re working towards your professional objectives, and could use some healthy, coping skills.
High-performers are prone to neglecting their mental health
You’re working to achieve, and are left with the proverbial candle burnt at both ends.
You may feel anxious, restless, or emotionally distant without any obvious reason. The truth? Your wellness extends beyond your occupational world. In fact, wellness is 8-dimensional: physical, emotional, social, financial, environmental, spiritual, intellectual and occupational. And, to achieve in a sustainable manner, a complete wellness plan is mandatory.
No athlete achieves without various supports.
Women Work With Me When They’re:
Feeling anxious in their professional world
Facing a career pivot, marriage, divorce, or family planning
Not balancing ambition and emotional wellbeing
Questioning if they can do it
Wondering who they are outside of achievement
Looking for therapy with acute professional, occupational understanding.
When these struggles are getting in the way of how you want to live focused therapy can help.
“Best Time to Start Therapy Is
As Soon As You’re Thinking About It”
We live in a culture that rewards performance and perfectionism, casting little light
on the necessity of wellness for sustainability. As women, we are praised for how
much we can handle, and rarely asked what we are already holding. In the therapeutic space, you are able to place it all down for rest, recharge and reflection.
The Technique I Use in Therapy
I combine evidence-based approaches with real-world understanding of clients
who lead successful professional lives.
-
to untangle achievement anxiety and overthinking
-
to set meaningful goals
-
to build self-trust and ease
Sample Questions We’ll Explore In Therapy
“Is it too late to start….now?” It’s never too late. If you're asking, you're ready. Whether you’re 30 or 39, therapy can be the turning point that shifts everything inward where it belongs because you know yourself, your strengths, and your blind spots better now.
“Do I need to have a breakdown to justify therapy?” No. High-functioning women often feel invisible in the mental health space. Just because you're functioning doesn’t mean you're fulfilled. You deserve care too.
“Who am I beyond my company name, the job title, the goals?” When you’ve spent years in pursuit mode, it’s easy to lose sight of who you are off the clock. Therapy helps you reconnect with your inner compass so life starts feeling like yours again.
